Medtrek Ambulance is hiring EMT-Basics for our Naples base. As an EMT on our Basic Life Support units, you provide safe, compassionate stretcher transport for patients across Collier and Lee counties — hospital discharges, dialysis trips, interfacility transfers, and more, with two licensed EMTs on every BLS truck.
What You’ll Do
- Provide BLS-level patient care and monitoring during non-emergency transports
- Complete safe stretcher operations, patient lifting, and bedside-to-bedside handoffs
- Document each transport accurately with a complete patient care report
- Perform daily vehicle and equipment checks so every unit is transport-ready
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, and facility staff
Requirements
- Active Florida EMT certification
- Current BLS (CPR) certification
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move patients safely as part of a two-person crew
Nice to have
- EVOC certification
- Prior interfacility or 911 transport experience
